Mont Rigauld Oct 18th 2025 Review

So as mentioned in the Mont Rigauld phase one blog entry this was the first time to ride near Cronwall since the spring of 2013., Back then it was a Substance Projects East Cup race in Cornwall itself. This trip will be a different kind of work on a bike.

Old Man and A Hardtail Mont Rigauld Phase 1 Oct 18th 2025

As I wrote in the blog write up in the link above did the first half on the Stylus aka Hardtail.  The previous trip to Volrage which had the rear wheel die. This would be more then one run. This time it ran well and ended the moring on it with a good run down The Couloir.

Only Starling On Mont Rigauld- Mont Rigauld Phase 2 Oct 18th 2025

Half way through the day switched to the Starling. Not mentioned in the write up in the link above is that this time it was a wilful choice. Not a rear wheel issues caused swap.  And spending most of the runs figuring out set up. This time it would be way more just riding with the only tinkering maybe needed was shock pressure.

The Starling was the same set up parts wise as post Vorlage and the rear shock was still a Rock Shox air shock. Set for 135mm travel. It worked well as before. The Starling Mega twist can take a longer travel shock and have one sitting on the work bench. Though don't have a spring of the correct weight yet for it. It has been put off because a combination of forgetting and just to busy riding  to look for one. Will look into it over the winter.

Video taken during various runs can be found in the two links above. Overall a good day in a new location as got some runs in on the hardtail and some in on the Starling the Full Suspension bike. And then it was last lift and time to load up and go.Another good gravity enduro run day.
